Without being graphic, I would say you are heterosexual. You are clearly not attracted to men. You are attracted to women. Car shifting problem a day after i got clutch/tranny replaced by shop?
Just yesterday i got my car back from the shop, and just today something broke where i can't shift into 1st or second gear. Rest of the gears are fine.

At the shop, a new clutch was put in, the flywheel was resurfaced, the clutch master cylinder was placed, and a "used" manual transmission was put in and the cost of the tranny was $350. The whole repair costs ended up being over $1300.

This is fuc*ed up.

Since it's not shifting into 1st or second, is this a transmission problem?
Need to know if this could have happened because A. he fuc*ed something up when putting it in or B. He gave me a $350 piece of **** tranny that lasted a day. Or C. My luck if just ******* ****.

Also, my check engine light happened to be on after i got it back, and the steering seemed f'd up too.

you should have a 30 or more often a 90 day parts warranty on used transmission, I understand your frustration but it will do nothing to help the mechanic fix what happened. You authorized the used transmission. I know better. I don't know what happened to the first transmission, but used transmissions are usually only guaranteed rebuild able, and it was worth the money to have a tranny shop go through it while it was out of the car, and fix any problems then But from prior experience, it almost never works out on an older car, here is why, understand most cars in a wrecking yard, arrived broken. It is unreasonable to expect a perfect new tranny, unless you pay the 4 or 6 hours labor to R and R it first. Now you will, and lets hope its a linkage problem and not a gear set. Some people do not realize that when a problem starts PARK THE CAR, FORCING IT TO DRIVE BROKEN CAN REALLY DAMAGE SOMETHING THAT MAY HAVE BEEN SALVAGEABLE. If you have a good shop there should be a warranty on the tranny, go back calmly, skip the attitude and next time , don't try to save money buy crap as old as you already broke. good luck, its only a car, it will get fixed.

You need a transmission diagnosis. Take it to a reputable shop. It could be solenoid problems, or more likely a speed sensor problem. Keep driving it like it is, and you will need a transmission.

600cc Engine size, price and location. fabricating it for a fl-250 honda Odyssey?
Its a 1980 something honda odyssey fl-250. I am having issues with the stock 250 motor's stator assembly. I am also tired of putting money into this engine. I had the idea that if I do a little fab work, and a lot of scratching my head I might be able to find a crotch rocket that someone wrecked, that I could pick up for cheap, and take the engine/tranny from it to fab to the odyssey. I realize this will be a lot of work, but not impossible. My plans are to get a 600/1000cc engine and tranny from a cbr or similar. Mount it on the rear of the cart. Remove stock gear case/centrifugal clutch. Then fab the mounts, and use the same chain drive to a sprocket on the rear axle (live axle). The shifter will hopefully mount up to my left side (while driving) and place a mechanically actuated clutch pedal in the foot well. This would use the same stock shifter, new clutch assembly, and still be able to give it some gas while shifting. {gas on handle bar on right side, brake same on left} The issue thus far has been finding an engine that someone crashed, but that is still in good shape with the tranny, for a somewhat cheap price. Once I have that, then the fun of getting it all to go together starts. I for see a lot of welding, moving the seat, and lots of $$ going into this, might be cheaper to build one from scratch... but where is the fun in that.

Any help on finding an site to look at engines (other than auction) and any input on how ******* dumb i must be is welcome. Also if you have anything that might help, be it a engine/tranny, or even some way to hook it up in mind let me know.

Not a dumb idea, with a little motor mount welding and throttle cable routing plus the correct sprocket/chain combo you should have one heck of a machine. Might need to beef up the suspension/rear end.
