Would you have a problem with men wearing skirts ?
A schoolboy in Cambridge is wearing a skirt to school in protest at the fact that pupils at his school are not allowed to wear shorts in summer. However the school dress code permits skirts to be worn and with the current PC climate cannot be gender specific with regard to the wearing of skirts. Aside from the fact that this is hilarious, would it not be better if more men wore skirts ? Surely modern women would have no problem with as they do not want to be restricted to gender appropriate apparel themselves. Surely both sexes should be free to dress as they like, mens clothing choices still seem pretty restrictive to me.

I think the boy makes a good point if the girls can wear knee lenghted skirts then the boys should be able too wear knee length shorts. And the girls should be able too wear em too cos i know some probably would rather wear shorts than skirts.

I dont understand why they dont allow it tbh their still wearing a school uniform, its not distasteful or revealing. Fortunatly my schools provided skirts and shorts of the same colour as the school uniform for the summer, just seems rediculus too ban them.

And i definatly agree mens clothing choices are very limited, mostly stuck with some form of trouser and some form of shirt be it dress shirt of t shirt, and thats about it. Wow, I saw another question you asked that is a lot like this one. Why do you seem so out to get male teachers? It sounds like they (or one in particular) has done something to make you feel that they are all horrible. They are not all weird and perverted. For the most part, they are fine. Yes, occasionally there is a case where they do something really weird and get into major trouble for it, but that's once in awhile. Asking them if they like it sounds like you are trying to get them into trouble. Of course they are going to find that attractive outside of school, but they are not just waiting for a room full of little girls.

School Uniform Skirts Can't Be Too Long?
So I know that most schools, private, have regulations on how short a skirt can be, but have you ever heard of a school that has a regulation on how long it can be? Well my school does. I just moved and attend a private school, they have uniforms and was kinda weirded out at how short they were. I guess it cant be too long either. It cannot be shorter than 9-10 inches above the knee, but no longer than 6-7 above the knee!. Is that weird? It's kinda uncomfortable. I mean 6-7 inches is pretty darn short. And we can't wear shorts or stockings under them either. They say it's for safety reasons, but I don't see the boys in short shorts! They can still wear pants. I think it's just because the perverted old men teachers want something to look at. Oh well, I guess there are worse things, and if I get to give some old guy a good thrill and something good to look at then more power to me lol? Anyway, what do you think. Have you heard of a school wear skirt can't be too long?

When I was in middle school the boys got a kick out of pulling up our skirts (of course we screamed) so we started to wear shorts underneath and the teachers turned us in, so my mom gathered all the mothers together and said, our girls are being good, and getting in trouble, and the boys are misbehaving and getting away with it, let's look at the real problem here. So we were allowed to wear shorts and the boys got in trouble too! I think the answer is, unless the parents speak up, nothing will change. I think you should be able to wear tights especially in winter.

I am sorry, but I cannot understand the overboard fascination men seem to have with skin. They seem entranced by ankles just as well as butt. Showing either, or any skin for that matter, seems to have the same effect. I recently wore a very nice, formal-like, coat dress with boots. Boots came up to just under my knee, coat dress stopped about an inch above my knee. In my social circle, I was informed that just my knees would attract sexual attention. my knees! my freaking KNEES! I don't want to attract this kind of attention, but since it seems men will over sexualize even my finger if its showing, I can hardly wear anything then.

I want to zero in on the word, effeminate. The dictionary definition of effeminate means having unsuitable feminine qualities: unmanly. The Greek word that is translated effeminate means of uncertain affinity, soft. God hates anything that destroys the distinction between the sexes.

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
Deuteronomy 22:5

And there shall in no wise enter into it (the New Jerusalem) any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

The fifth verse of Deuteronomy 22 is part of the moral law that is carried over into the New Testament. Why is it immoral for a woman to dress like a man or a man like a woman? Because it breaks down the distinction between the sexes.

The great argument today is that slacks have been made feminine by putting the buttons or zippers on the sides or the rear of the garment. That is as ridiculous as saying a dress could be a man's dress because it buttons or zippers around the waist instead of the front, back, or side.

This perversion of clothing started with idol worshippers. Men wore the dress of women when they presented themselves before the star of Venus. Women wore men's clothing when they presented themselves before the star of Mars. Idols were frequently represented with the features of one sex, but the dress of another. The worshippers of these idols wanted to appear as their gods did. Notice the description of monsters given in the Bible.

...And their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women...

Is it any wonder why God hates that which destroys the distinction of the sexes? It is easy then to see the importance of the following instructions.

The New International Version of the Bible has an interesting footnote offering an alternative translation of I Corinthians 11:6.

If a woman has no covering, let her be for now with short hair, but since it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair shorn or shaved, she should grow it again.

Nowhere in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, will you find any mention of the cutting of women's hair in a complimentary manner or a favorable light. Women did not cut their hair except as a sign of disgrace.
